Cláudia Viana


Cláudia Viana (;) is graduated in Geography and has a Masters degree in GIS applied to Territory Management, both from the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning – University of Lisbon (IGOT -UL, Portugal ). She became particularly interested in using GIS with traditional quantitative and qualitative sources and her scientific interests include Geographic Information Systems, Statistics Planning and Analysis , Simulation Models , Cellular Automata, Urban Growth and Natural Hazards. She is research fellow in the project Agriculture in Portugal: food, sustainability and development (1870-2010), financed by FCT, under the scientific guidance of Doutora Dulce Freire.
